The Chequers is located in the pretty rural village of Berrick Salome in South Oxfordshire.
 
The pub is situated off the B4009 between Benson and Wallingford, or the A329 between Wallingford and Thame.
 
The village of Berrick Salome is surrounded by the villages of Warborough, Newington, Drayton St Leonard, Stadhampton, Roke, Chalgrove and Rokenmarsh.  Benson, with its RAF base is a five minute drive, and slightly further afield are the towns and villages of Shillingford, Watlington, Wallingford, Dorchester-on-Thames and Crowmarsh Gifford.
 
The Chequers has a large garden with a children's play area, patio and ample parking.
